The Dwarfing of Europe? A Dialogue between Brazil, India, China and Europe

Europe can no longer just reflect on itself without considering the context of a shifting global environment. Europe and its neighbours are in a crisis that goes far beyond the financial. We must take time to look at ourselves through the mirrors offered by other regions of the world. In particular, we must listen to the voices of the so-called ‘emerging economies’.

This is why Europe Cultural Foundation (ECF), De Balie  and Tilburg University will organise ‘Dwarfing of Europe?’ - a timely dialogue, with two days of exchange and discussion about renewed visions of Europe with renowned speakers from Brazil, India and China. Exploring and discussing the social-cultural developments of the shifting powers, the public debates will be moderated by Yoeri Albrecht, Director of De Balie and Professor Paul Scheffer, journalist, writer and scholar.

REGISTER / PRACTICAL INFORMATION / CONTACT

The debates are open to the public. The entrance fee is €9,50 and €7,00 (reduced fee). Please register directly via the website of our partner De Balie - for the debate on May 22 and for the debate on May 23.
