About RAWsome – the retrospective

RAWsome – the retrospective is the Ronald A. Westerhuis exhibition opened in April as one of the 'Dutch Days in Shanghai 2013' activities. The Exhibition displays his last 12 years of work. 12 years of designing, creating and building stainless steel sculptures.

About the venue; River South Art Centre:

RAWsome – the retrospective will take place in a unique and inspiring warehouse set up in 1908, which became River South Art Center in 2000. River South Art Center is founded by Mr. Steve Wang; Taiwanese living legend known by his opera career in his younger years to become a worldwide respected movie director. Mr. Steve Wang has transformed the warehouse into a stimulating place; giving its visitors an unforgettable experience.

River South Art Center emphasizes on all types of art and fashion activities and corporate events to make more and more people get an access to the immortal spirits of the unique history. Now, they are the rare architectures for the memory of Old Shanghai.

They are the beginning of the stories of Shanghai in the 21 century as well as the new pride for Shanghai’s tomorrow. For that reason River South Art Center is the most excellent venue to show the modern sculptures of Ronald A. Westerhuis. An inspirational venue where modern art and traditional Chinese architecture are one.
