impakt Festival - call for bloggers

This year’s Impakt festival will be focused on the theme ‘No More
Westerns’. The festival programme will be aimed at discussing the
consequences of geopolitical and economical change for visual cultures and media worldwide. The festival will focus on the visual culture of emerging economies and their influence on Western culture, bearing in mind the question if anything like ‘Western culture’ will even exist in the
future.

The festival will start on 24 October, but the online activities surrounding
the festival are an ongoing event. In anticipation of the festival the blog
on our website will be regularly updated with publications concerning the main theme. To provide this blog with content we are looking for enthousiastic bloggers.

If you have a more than average interest and/or knowledge of visual arts and media originating from non-western countries, and a love for writing about these subjects, we are looking for you. From Bollywood experts to fans of Brazillian advertising to Chinese visual arts geeks, if the theme ‘No More Westerns’ sounds like something you could work with, we would like to get to know you.
