The Escola Aberta was a temporary design school in Rio de Janeiro, from the 6th till the 11th of August 2012.
Teachers and students of graphic design from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie developed a program of activities for the duration of one week. Lectures, workshops, performances and discussions challenged the conventions of design, both in theory and in practice. The event brought 40 students and teachers from the Netherlands to Brazil.
