Prêmio Objeto Brasileiro

The Prize is organized every two years by A Casa – Museu do Objeto Brasileiro (Museum of Brazilian object) and its objective is to encourage the production of craftsmanship in the country, its relation with design, valorizing a sustainable process of developing products

Designers, craftsman, architects, artists, students and anyone that would be interested can apply with products or prototypes, choosing one of the four categories available.

The work will be selected by a Jury of professionals in design, craftsmanship and environment and the results will be published on the 17th of August.

The ones selected for the first place of the categories Objeto de produção autoral (authorial production object) and Objeto de produção coletiva (collective production object) will receive R\$ 5.000 and the second place will receive R\$ 2.500.For the category Ação  sócio-ambiental (Social and Environmental Action) the prizes are R\$ 10.000 and R\$ 5.000.The category Novos projetos (new projects) will be awarding three prizes of R\$ 1.500,00 for the production of prototype.

The exhibition with the selected objects for the  3º Prêmio Objeto Brasileiro, will be open on the 17th October 2012.

Deadline for application: 6th of July 2012.
