In-residency Program in XuCun International Art Commune

The Xucun International Art Commune is situated in a basin of Taihang Mountain in the east of China's Shanxi Province. Founded in 2010, it is the first international contemporary art base in ancient villages of Shanxi, the hinterland of Chinese traditional culture. As written in their website, the Art Commune creates a precedent that traditional culture and contemporary art begin to meet and mix. By holding art festival and open activities, XuCun International Art Commune intends to attract artists from all over the world to conduct artistic practices there, and to provide them a platform to pursue their dreams.
