Sponsoring Opportunity- 11 out of 1,3 billion
Even though the Dutch Euro2012 Dream has ended, the Netherlands' fascination with football has not. David Lingerak is preparing a new documentary in China.
Newspapers are full of stories about impressive economic developments in China. However, in the world of Chinese football, results are still poor. During the last World Cup in 2010 even North Korea made it to the main tournament, while China dropped out during the qualification rounds. Nonetheless, it seems that things are about to change as China has bold ambitions. For large sums of money, coaches and players are flown in from for instance the Netherlands and other football-famous nations. China has even expressed its interest in organizing the world cup itself in the future.
A Dutch documentary about Chinese football
What are all these Dutchies doing in China? Arie Haan, Jan Versleijen, Henk Ten Cate, Jan Olde Riekerink, Sjoerd Ars, Edmund Claus; they all went to China to play are role within the Chinese world of football. But also world famous football stars, like Anelka and Drogba went to China to be part of the Chinese Super League.
The film
11 Out of 1.3 Billion; Football in China brings you images of a football nation on the rise. What is the status of local football, and what are the ambitions of the Chinese Football Association? Is it sufficient to buy European talents to improve the national competition, how do people feel about the corruption affecting football in the past, and how do the 1.3 billion fans think about what is happening with Chinese football? Why did the country fail in its football goals before, and are the new goals realistic?
The film will be both informative and entertaining. There will be interviews with top competition players and coaches, but also with fans and youth players dreaming of stardom to come. Interviews will only be a base, there will be plenty of football-in-action and scenes illuminating the current state of Chinese football affairs too. Cultural and political issues that affect football, like the one-child-policy and the growing gap between rich and poor, are discussed.
This documentary is a cooperation between the Dutch companies 16x9 Film Productions and About Asia Business Consulting. The film will be released during summer 2013. There is still an opportunity for your company to gain attention from a sport loving and international audience, by supporting this production.
