ICOM General Conference: The Power of Museums
From 20 to 28 August, the 26th General Conference of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) takes place in Prague. Museums and museum professionals are invited to join the event, either digitally or physically in order to improve accessibility and to ensure the safety of participants.
Next to keynote speeches, panels, roundtables and debates, ICOM Prague 2022 will give young ICOM members the chance to express their concerns and insights during dedicated “Youth Forum” sessions. At the International Museum Fair, companies and museums will present their latest innovations and solutions designed for the museum and exhibition industry.
ICOM Prague 2022 also enables ICOM members to discuss and vote on multiple themes that the organisation has worked on for the last few years: the new Museum Definition, the revision of the Code of Ethics, and the amendment of the Statutes and the new ICOM Strategic Plan 2022–2028.
