Open Call: Cultural Connections, Liveable Cities 2024

Seeking to facilitate international cultural cooperation between the Netherlands and Brazil, the Embassy and Consulates General of the Netherlands in Brazil invite cultural institutions, professionals and practitioners to present proposals aimed at cultural exchange between these countries. This open call provides funds for projects that contribute to the quality of life in the city, with a thematic focus on ‘Liveable Cities’.

• Cultural projects must highlight Dutch culture and/or promote cultural exchange between the Netherlands and Brazil, and the final activity must take place in Brazil.
• Digital, in-person and hybrid projects are accepted.
• The project must begin after 1 June 2024 and finish no later than 31 December 2024. Projects that have already started prior to the acceptance of the proposal by the Netherlands are only eligible if the requested funding is for new activities within the scope of the ongoing project. Activities cannot end in 2024.
• Project proposals must involve at least one Brazilian and one Dutch partner. Each with a well-defined role within the project.
• The proposal must be accompanied by a solid communication strategy. The project's outcomes and how they will be achieved must be clearly explained in the proposal.

The deadline for submitting proposals is 7 May 2024.
