Emma van Oudheusden, Head of Finance & Organisation
What I find most rewarding about my work at DutchCulture is to be part of this large group of dedicated and passionate colleagues who really care about culture, and who each do what they can to help makers, organisations, governments and embassies pursue their cultural international ambitions. As head of Finances & Organisation, my job is to create the right conditions to permit plans and ideas to become reality and to enable us as a team to perform to the best of our ability. I do so in collaboration with colleagues of the Service Team, which is responsible for production, research and digitisation, but also for HR, ICT, financial management, administration and housing. I also maintain contact with our subsidy providers and make sure that subsidy contributions are spent properly and effectively.
I spent the past 12 years working as a manager at various museums in Amsterdam, including the Museum of the Canals and Oude Kerk, a museum for contemporary art and heritage. I’m very pleased to now apply this experience as a business manager in the cultural sector for the mission of DutchCulture to enrich society through international cultural collaboration and exchange.
