As a national and international foundation for encouraging the appreciation of visual arts, design and cultural heritage from the Netherlands, the Mondriaan Foundation supports a large number of activities each year from Dutch and foreign institutions. The Mondriaan Foundation is committed to stimulating a strong and professional cultural sector that is able to clearly bring the significance of visual arts, design and cultural heritage to the attention of a wide audience.

The Netherlands Foundation for Visual Arts, Design and Architecture (Fonds BKVB) is the national body responsible for enabling visual artists, designers, architects and also cultural mediators to develop their work in a variety of ways. The policy of Fonds BKVB covers subsidies, internationalisation and special projects.
