Are you an emerging artist or creative? Do you want to expand your international horizon? On 6 September, DutchCulture's Lotte Geeven and Simon de Leeuw visit the creative community of Kunstlicht in Amsterdam-Noord to talk about opportunities for emerging creatives. Simon will kick off and introduce how DutchCulture can help you get started in the international arts, after which artist and residency advisor Lotte Geeven offers a (world)wide range of all types of residencies, the way to find them, and what you should pay attention to when responding to open calls. While aimed at emerging artists, this event is open to all and free of charge.

DutchCulture's advisors offer free networking, information, and advice for all makers and creatives who want to go abroad. Our mission is to help professionals further realize their international cultural ambitions based on inclusivity, reciprocity, and sustainability.

Kunstlicht Amsterdam acts as a springboard for creatives and young professionals by offering workspaces at an affordable price. They also organise small-scale meetings where people can meet and inspire each other. We are committed to cultural free havens in the city. In this way, we also ensure that valuable makers can continue to work in the city and that Amsterdammers can continue to use their services. We believe that it is important for the city to have professionals living and working nearby. We like to take an active role in the neighborhood and want to grow into a space in the future where we can set up even more cool projects that benefit the entire neighborhood. Think of open days for schools, workshops and free shops.

After the event, Kunstlicht offers dinner and closes the workshop with a networking drink on the roof terrace. Don't miss out!
