The Cultural Participation Fund is one of the 6 national cultural funds. The fund promotes engagement in culture and wants to make culture accessible to everyone. By focusing on cultural participation, intangible heritage, and cultural education, the fund promotes culture that is inviting and easily accessible. The fund provides grants to cultural initiatives throughout the Kingdom of the Netherlands. From Zeeland to Groningen. From Aruba to St. Eustatius. From large to small. Across all disciplines.
With the Collaboration grant the fund supports the implementation of an international collaboration project in the field of cultural participation, education, and/or heritage with a partner in another country, either within or outside the Kingdom. The purpose of the grant scheme is to strengthen cultural participation and education in the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
- Cultural foundation in the Netherlands or the Caribbean part of the Kingdom (Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, Sint-Eustatius, Sint-Maarten);
- Independent professional in the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Netherlands or the Caribbean part of the Kingdom (Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, Sint-Eustatius, Sint-Maarten) who is active in the field of cultural education or participation with at least three years of relevant experience.
A maximum of €75,000.
The grant ceiling is €1.616,000. Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
The collaboration project
- is of high artistic and organisational quality;
- is sustainable and reciprocal; learning, knowledge sharing, and network formation are central to this;
- entails benefits and new developments in the field of cultural participation and cultural education;
- should focus on the development of students, vocational students, culture makers, and/or heritage volunteers from the Kingdom of the Netherlands. These can be workshops, performances, or other performing activities.
- applies the 3 cultural codes (Code Diversiteit & Inclusie, Fair Practice Code, Governance Code Cultuur);
- has a maximum duration of 2 years;
- does not start later than 9 months after the submission of the application;
- has a realistic planning and division of responsibilities;
- has a sound budget.
