Cultural Participation Fund: Open Call Suriname-the Netherlands 2024

Cultural Participation Fund: Open Call Suriname-the Netherlands 2024

Fonds Cultuurparticipatie: Open Call Suriname-Nederland 2024
Funding for cooperation projects between Surinamese and Dutch cultural organisations

// Due to great success, the grant ceiling has been reached. The fund therefore had to close the Open Call Suriname-the Netherlands 2024 earlier. It is no longer possible to apply //

The Cultural Participation Fund is one of the 6 national cultural funds. The fund promotes engagement in culture and wants to make culture accessible to everyone. By focusing on cultural participation, intangible heritage, and cultural education, the fund promotes culture that is inviting and easily accessible. The fund provides grants to cultural initiatives throughout the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

By means of this Open Call, the fund support projects in which Surinamese and Dutch organisations learn from and with each other. For example, by working together, sharing knowledge, or undertaking an artistic or heritage project together.

You can apply for a grant for an international cooperation project (with a maximum duration of 2 years). This could be:

  • a co-creation project in the field of cultural education, cultural participation, talent development or immaterial heritage with and for children, young people or adults;
  • a cooperation, knowledge sharing or exchange in the field of cultural education, cultural participation, talent development or intangible heritage. The target group involves children, young people or adults;
  • a combination of the two.

Exemples: working visits, collaborating in each other's organisations, a joint training course, a conference or implementing a project together.
