Dutch Music Export: Dance Hiphop R&B Depot

Funding to support the international development of Dutch emerging talent in dance, hip-hop, and R&B

Dutch Music Export is an initiative of Performing Arts Fund NL, Buma Cultuur, and Stichting Popcoalitie, aiming to strengthen the international position of Dutch pop music within the global music sector.

Through this grant, Dutch Music Export wants to stimulate the position of Duch dance, hip-hop and R&B. Grantees will be supported creatively and professionally by Dutch Music Export during a certain period in boosting their international career.

Young talented artists based in the Kindom of the Netherlands, working in the field of dance, hip-hop and R&B with significant international potential (both artistically and commercially), who wish to boost their international career.

Starting in 2025, this grant will most likely be open to all music genres.

Research

Eligible expenses include international promotion costs, along with limited contributions to travel, accommodation, and visa expenses. However, costs associated with equipment purchases and production expenses for audio recordings are not covered by the scheme.

How much

A maximum of € 2,500.

Requirements
  • The artists work has sufficient international potential (artistic and business) from a foreign perspective;
  • The artist, possibly together with the business representation, is capable of making realistic and market-oriented plans and has a sufficient production level to operate internationally;
  • There is a proven international demand for the act; including monthly streaming income earned abroad;
  • There is Dutch copyright.
