VandenEnde Foundation: Scholarship Film & Television
The VandenEnde Foundation (VDEF) is a private cultural fund established in 2001 by Joop and Janine van den Ende. The VDEF contributes to strengthening the cultural climate in the Netherlands, with the aim of ensuring that young people grow up in a society where interest in art and culture is self-evident. The VDEF provides scholarships to young artistic talents in the field of music, theater, dance and film & TV, to further their development. Since its establishment, over 750 young people have been able to study at prestigious institutions in the Netherlands ánd abroad with a scholarship from the VDEF.
Young artistic talents in the Netherlands in the field of film and television who wish to further their development. If an applicant is a minor at the time of application, the application must be made on their behalf by a parent or legal guardian of the applicant.
- A full-time (advanced) program at a recognized and renowned film/television school abroad in the fields of feature film, drama, documentary, or animation, specializing in directing, editing, cinematography, or production;
- A short-term program, course, workshop, or masterclass abroad in the fields of directing or production of feature film, drama, documentary, or animation.
The applicant's own contribution is at least 10% of the total costs.
- The applicant holds Dutch nationality (or the nationality of another EU or EEA member state or Switzerland) and has been registered in the Netherlands for at least three years prior to the application;
- The applicant is between 20 and 27 years old;
- The applicant has completed a recognized relevant professional education at least at HBO level, or has at least two or more years of demonstrable relevant professional experience in the field
- The education for which the application is made does not start within a period of two months after the deadline.
Limitations: - Film and television scholarships are only granted in the disciplines of directing or production and not for programs in other disciplines such as screenwriting, design, technical aspects, or teaching.
- No scholarships are available for internships or exchanges during a film or television program.
- Scholarships are exclusively granted for the following programs in the United States of America, the United Kingdom, France and Denmark:

- The National Film and Television School (NFTS) (London, UK)
- The London Film School (London, UK)
- The Royal College of Arts (film/computer animation) (London, UK)
- Goldsmiths University of London (London, UK)
- The Arts University at Bournemouth (Bournemouth, UK)
- Bournemouth: The National Centre for Computer Animation (computer animation) (Bournemouth, UK)
- Edinburgh: The Edinburgh College of Art (film/computer animation) (Bournemouth, UK)
