Scholarships for talented young artists for postgraduate education abroad

The Culture Fund (formerly the Prins Bernard Cultuurfonds) is a private fund that supports projects in the fields of culture and nature conservation in the Netherlands. Additionally, it awards various international cultural scholarships to talented creators, including performing artists, dancers and filmmakers.

Who can apply
Individuals

Talented young artists who have the Dutch nationality, who have graduated from a (preferably Dutch) institution of higher education with a Bachelor's (hbo) or Master's (wo) degree, and who wish to pursue further education abroad (i.e. master’s program).

Dancers do not need to have finished a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. They are allowed to apply for scholarship for a Bachelor’s program.

A master’s program or an equivalent qualification outside the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

How much

A maximum of €20,000.

Requirements
  • Graduated from a – preferably Dutch – institution of higher education with a Bachelor's (hbo) or Master's (wo) degree. Excemption: dancers do not need to have finished a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. They are allowed to apply for a Bachelor’s program scholarship.
  • Dutch nationality or registered in the Netherlands for at least 3 years;
  • Applicants can only apply for a scholarship once.
