New Dawn

New Dawn

International film production fund for more diversity in the international film industry

New Dawn is an international film production fund that strives to expand the international possibilities for the many voices and perspectives in our continuously changing societies, as a joint step forward towards a more diverse film landscape.

New Dawn operates as a production fund, by making additional funding available for film productions, both feature length fiction and documentary productions, and by supporting film makers in setting up networks. Its aim is to change the funding system from within, starting with productions that are currently developing with help from the participating funds.

New Dawn is an initiative of (currently) 10 public funds: Centre du Cinéma et de l'Audiovisuel, Film Fund Luxembourg, Finnish Film Foundation, Flanders Audiovisual Fund, Instituto do Cinema e do Audiovisual, Norwegian Film Insitute, Screen Ireland, Swedisch Film Institute and Telefilm Canada.
