Funding for participating in a film training

The Netherlands Film Fund is the national cultural fund for the professional, independent film sector in the Netherlands and the Caribbean part of the Kingdom. It provides financial support for the development, production and distribution of film productions and film-related activities.

Through this scheme, a contribution can be requested for a short-term training program in the Netherlands or abroad, in the areas of development, (post-)production, distribution, and/or exhibition of film productions, as well as innovation within the film sector.

Who can apply
Individuals

An individual from the Kingdom of the Netherlands who has worked as a film professional for at least two years and possesses demonstrable, up-to-date, and solid specialist knowledge and experience at a professional level within their own field of film production.

For what
Travel

Participation fees (excluding VAT), travel, and accommodation costs.

How much

Up to 75% of eligible costs, with a maximum of €3,000 per year, as compensation for individual training costs for a film professional active within the Dutch film sector.

Requirements

The training must

  • demonstrably relate to the Dutch film practice
  • be of a professional and high-quality standard
  • contriute to enhancing the professional knowledge and skills of the applicant within their own field.
