2 December: How fair is international artist mobility? The queer migrant perspective

On 2 December together with IQMF we organise an online Artist Talk about fair & mobility in the queer migrant community.

DutchCulture is kicking off a three-year programme on Fair international cultural collaboration and mobility. In collaboration with IQMF we are organising this evening around the topic of fair - mobility.

Since 2019 DutchCulture is connected with the International Queer & Migrant Festival in Amsterdam, accompanying the festival with panel conversations and international visitor programmes. In light of the recent COVID-19 restrictions, this year's festival will be postponed to March 2022.

While it means that we have to wait a few more months, we do organise an online Artist Talk in cooperation with the new safer space cinema Supernova in Amsterdam. Three artists from the IQMF community, Tyna Adebowal, Astrit Ismaili and Paula Chaves Bonilla, will reflect on what mobility means for them, the obstacles they encounter, the possibilities they see. Where can you travel as an artist, what is your motive for travelling, who is stopping you and what does mobility mean to you?
