Art in Times of Corona: non-physical culture: Dutch digital alternatives
Now that all cultural activity involving physical proximity has been shut to the public in most countries, artists and organisations are looking for new ways to continue their work digitally. From livestreaming performances to the disclosure of online collections and exhibits - the possibilities are plenty and creative.
DEN (Digitaal Erfgoed Nederland), the Dutch knowledge centre for digitalisation and cultural heritage, doesn't only present a list of alternative forms of cultural expressions, it also offers valuable tips for working digitally, doing online research and providing useful services for the public. For example, instead of giving a workshop, they can help you to create a webinar, how to set up a podcast or assist you with different forms of digital cultural education. You can also ask questions if there's a specific situation you need assistance for, or if you need somebody to troubleshoot.
