Pilot: Heritage scheme for cooperation between Caribbean part of the Kingdom and Europe

Heritage professionals in Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, Sint Maarten & Sint Eustatius can apply for a €1500 travel voucher for European collaborations.
By DutchCulture

Heritage organisations, heritage professionals (in training) and heritage staff of municipalities from Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, Sint Maarten and Sint Eustatius can apply for an international travel voucher of €1500 to meet and exchange knowledge with a European partner. The Travel Grant Scheme applies both ways: European heritage professionals can also be invited to travel to the Caribbean part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. To collaborate with a European partner, it is possible to apply for €5000 from DutchCulture’s Europe + Heritage Support Grant Scheme.

Please note: the Travel Grant Scheme is meant for international collaboration between the Caribbean part of the Kingdom and Europe. Collaborations between Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, Sint Maarten or Sint Eustatius and the Netherlands do not apply.

Pilot

DutchCulture's Europe + Heritage programme focuses on facilitating expert meetings and knowledge exchange within the heritage field. The programme's Support Grant Scheme and Travel Grant Scheme can be applied for by heritage organisations, heritage professionals and employees of municipalities from the field of heritage in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. However, the Travel Grant Scheme proved insufficient for applicants from Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, Sint Maarten and Sint Eustatius. For them, the Travel Grant Scheme now offers a travel voucher of €1500, instead of the €250 that is intended for residents of the European part of the Kingdom.

Applications

Applying for the Europe + Heritage programme is easy: it can be done continuously, without deadlines. Our website offers an application form in both Dutch and English (see the link below). Applicants receive a response within two weeks, so their travels or international projects can start rather swiftly. DutchCulture particularly encourages young professionals to apply. Since 2021, DutchCulture has supported more than 70 trips and projects through the Europe + Heritage programme.

DutchCulture's Europe + Heritage programme (2021 - 2024)

DutchCulture stimulates, informs and supports the cultural field of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in international cooperation. For the period 2021-2024, DutchCulture is committed to facilitating (expert) meetings, knowledge exchange and cooperation in the field of heritage between the Kingdom of the Nederlands and Europe. To achieve this, DutchCulture offers a Travel Grant and Support Grant Scheme.
